Russia condemned by international community

The G7, the seven most industrialised nations, have issued a stinging condemnation of the Russian recognition of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
The US, Canada, the UK, Japan, France, Germany and Italy accuse Russia of violating Georgia's sovereignty.
NATO is demanding that Russia withdraws its recognition of South Ossetia and Abkhazia because it violates resolutions adopted by the United Nations and the Organsation for Security and Operation in Europe.
Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko called Russia's recognition of the two breakaway regions a threat to peace in the region and in Europe.
Georgia has recalled from Moscow all but two of its diplomats.
Tbilisi reports that Russian forces will withdraw from the strategic port of Poti on Friday.
Georgia says the move is the result of international pressure.
The Russian government has not yet confirmed the withdrawal.
